Trump offers full embrace of NRA, leaving Parkland pause behind

In the aftermath of the Parkland shooting, President Trump offered a series of a proposals to fight gun violence, such as raising the age limit for purchasing assault rifles to 21 and giving law enforcement the authority to confiscate guns from suspicious citizens even if they have not broken any laws. But during the NRA convention on Friday, that version of Trump was a distant memory.
