Red Sox place All-Star slugger on COVID-19-related injured list

A Boston Red Sox player's red-hot start to the season has suddenly been put on ice. The team announced Saturday evening that designated hitter/outfielder J.D. Martinez has been placed on the COVID-19-related injured list. The announcement was made less than an hour before the Red Sox were set to take on the Baltimore Orioles.
