Red Sox prospect Brian Van Belle never experienced the honor of being drafted by a Major League Baseball team. The COVID pandemic caused the 2020 MLB Draft to be shortened from 41 rounds to five rounds. Van Belle likely would have been selected had it gone 10 rounds.
