MLB Rumors: AL East Rival 'Front-Runner' For Potential Red Sox Target

The Boston Red Sox have yet to sign a big bat via free agency this offseason. The New York Post's Jon Heyman reported Thursday that the Red Sox are still in the mix for Soler — the Arizona Diamondbacks are in the same boat, too — but that the Toronto Blue Jays are the “front-runner” to land the 31-year-old designated hitter, who can also play the outfield.
